2025 Summer Program Teacher
Substitute Teacher


2025 Summer Program Teacher

May Center for Learning is seeking teachers for our 2025 Summer LEAP programs in Santa Fe and Albuquerque.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing multisensory, individualized instruction to students in reading, writing, math (for lower grades only), and executive functioning skills.

  • Teaching reading instruction using the Sequential English Education (SEE) curriculum, and writing instruction using The May Way™ writing curriculum.

  • Providing weekly parent communications.

  • Attending all required Faculty Inservice days and weekly LEAP teacher team meetings.

  • Holding Parent/Teacher conferences at the beginning and end of the summer session.

  • Completing end-of-session reports for each student.

The ideal candidate’s qualifications will include:

  • Teaching experience preferred.

  • Teacher certification preferred.

  • Teaching experience in special education at the elementary and middle school levels is a plus.

Potential candidates must also undergo a background check prior to being selected as a 2025 Summer Program Teacher.

Albuquerque program: June 9—July 18, 2025 (no class July 4)
Santa Fe program: June 30—July 25, 2025 (no class July 4)
Pay: $5,600.00

Substitute Teacher

May Center for Learning is seeking substitute and on-call teachers for the 2024/25 school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Following the specific instructional objectives of a learning experience/activity as outlined by the classroom teacher.

  • Providing individual academic/communication support as assigned by the classroom teacher.

  • Escorting students between classes and monitoring children during recess, lunch, and other breaks.

The ideal candidate’s qualifications will include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience working with children.

  • Teaching experience in special education at the elementary and middle school levels is a plus.

Potential candidates must also undergo a background check prior to being selected for our substitute teaching list.

Hours: On call, as needed
Pay: $25/hour
